Sevilla Classic Tour

We will depart by vehicle to visit the innovations in the architecture of Seville in the 1920`s. Then we will visit the impressive PLAZA ESPAÑA, which is a magnificant sample of the Iberoamerican Exposition in 1929. We will also visit the CATHERDAL, which is the third largest temple in the world and which demonstrates gothic, renaissance and manierist styles. It was built on the site of the main mosque of the town. The ORANGE TREE COURTYARD still remains from the former mosque as well as the GIRALDA TOWER which is the symbol of the city and from where you can see a breathtaking views of Seville. We will go from the CATHEDRAL to the GOLDEN TOWER wich containsan important graphic and writen exibits relating to the City´s nautical history. We will go on the SANTA CRUZ QUARTER, which used to be the Jewish district. You will discover the enchantment of this narrow streets, the mysterious small squares that are full of orange trees and flower filled courtyards.

Historic Sevilla

We will depart by vehicle to visit the innovations in the architecture of Seville in the 1920`s. Then we will visit the gorgeus AMERICAN SQUARE which include the entrance to the MUDEJAR PALACE wich is a magnificant sample of the Iberoamerican Exposition in 1929. We will continue our visit in the ROYAL ALCAZAR wich is the oldest residence of the spanish Kings , it dates back from the almohade times and is the best example of moorish style. There you will be able to see ceramic tile mosaics, cafted ceilings, courtyards and wonderful Arabic and renaissance style gardens. We will go on the SANTA CRUZ QUARTER, which used to be the Jewish district. You will discover the enchantment of this narrow streets , the mysterious small squares that are full of orange trees and flower filled courtyards.

Artistic Sevilla

We will start by bus to discover the Seville of the past, present and future. We will make a marvelous BOAT-TRIP ALONG THE GUADALQUIVIR-RIVER and enjoy some of the most atractive panoramic views of Seville. We go on with a sightseeing of the most famous PAVILLIONS AND BRIDGES OF THE 1992 UNIVERSAL EXPOSITION and will visit the CARTUSHIAN MONASTERY, where Columbus thought about the sea and life. Finally we will go to the BASILICA OF THE MACARENA where we can see part of the holy week in Seville. Return to the hotels.

Excursion Tours - Sevilla

 

Córdoba - Splendour under the Caliphate

After approximately a one hour driving we will arrive at Córdoba. We will walk along the wonderful gardens of the ALCAZAR of the CHRISTIAN KINGS, where we will also see the mosaics that decorate the rooms. We will then visit the MOSQUE, the crowning symbol of the CALIPHATE and now a CATHEDRAL. The visit will continue with a walk through the jewish quarter, the old market (now the handicraft market) and the old SYNAGOGUE. Afterwards there will be free time for lunch, this will conclude our visit of Córdoba and we'll return to Seville.

Granada - The Islamic Kingdom

In this city the Euroasian, Iberian, Phoenician, Roman, Arab and Christian cultures have left their imprint, making it one of the wonders of the world. It was Spains last Islamic Kingdom inhabited jointly by Muslims, Jews and Christians. The ALHAMBRA is the main jewel of this beautiful city. During our visit to the ROYAL PALACE, ALCAZABA and the surrouding group of small palaces, gardens, patios and towers it become clear to us why the KING BOABDIL cried when GRANADA was reconquered by the CATHOLIC MONARCHS. An outstanding feature are the GARDENS of GENERALIFE, this was the summer residence for the King. It's a combination of watersprings, gardens and architecture of indescribable beauty. No wonder it is considered one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. After the visit to the Alhambra there will be free time for lunch and we will finally go back to Seville.

Jerez & Cádiz- Horses, Wines and Seaports

After a one hour bus riding we start the visit at one of the most famous wine cellars in Jerez where you will recieve a short explanation about the Sherry making procedure "Real Tesoro", including tasting of several types of Sherry in the unique atmosphere of a "Bodega". At the ROYAL ANDALUSIAN SCHOOL OF EQUESTRIAN ART you will enjoy its famous Show called, "HOW ANDALUSIAN'S HORSES DANCE". The visit continues towards PUERTO DE SANTA MARÍA. Free time for lunch will be given. We will continue with a wonderful BOAT PROM to contemplate the bay of CÁDIZ. (Those clients not opting for the boat can go by bus). We will then arrive at CÁDIZ where you will discover the city with a magnific panoramic view. This will conclude our visit and we will travel back to Seville.
