is a new chic Slovenian restaurant in the city centre of Maribor with colorful selection of different traditional Slovenian dishes. Restaurant Veronika, Pohorje
Restaurant Veronika is located in the middle of the mountains, in Pohorje, 20-min drive from the city centre. It used to be a traditional restaurant but has transformed itself over the years into one of the Slovenia's finest. Their food, a creative mixture of Slovenian dishes, is absolutely stunning with top marks from many food magazines. It is especially popular for venison, genuine mushroom dishes and the house speciality- Pohorje’s omelette. The restaurant with two in-door terraces offers a beautiful view to the south-west. Restaurant By the Three Ponds
Within an idyllic scenery of one of the most beautiful central European city parks stands restaurant "Pri Treh Ribnikih - By the Three Ponds" (pronounced: pree traeh rib-nick-ieh). The restaurant serves its guests for over 300 years. Tradition and novelty of Slovenian cuisine walk hand in hand here and you can try some really fantastic things here. One of their specialties is a traditional fresh mushroom soup served in a bread crust. Capacity: inside 120 pax, outside 200 pax.
Restaurant Sarika (formerly Stajerc)
Stajerc restaurant used to be one of Maribor icons with their own mini brewery and pristine Slovenian dishes. It is located centrally in the heart of Maribor pedestrian area. With its new owner and name still offers healthy traditional Maribor and Stajerska cuisine, wonderful beer from their mini brewery, pretzels. It also offers venison dishes, fish dishes, vegetarian dishes, dishes from the grill and so forth. It has a huge terrace overlooking the busiest part of the pedestrian zone. Capacity: inside 120 pax, outside 180 pax.
