Grand Hotel Union is a four star, business class hotel and is considered to be one of Ljubljana's finest. This is a business hotel, situated in the town centre, 300 m from the central bus and railway stations. City Hotel is located in the heart of the city, right next to the old city core. It is in the close vicinity of several cultural sites and natural pearls of the Ljubljana city and easily accessible from all main city roads. The bus and the railway station are located approximately three hundred metres away from the hotel and city bus stops are also in the immediate vicinity. A taxi or shuttle can get you to or from the airport in less than half an hour. There are 200 rooms with altogether 400 beds in the hotel. 111 rooms were renovated in 2003, other 89 rooms were renovated in September 2007. Rooms are in 3 different colours (light green, orange and warm red colour). You can choose between 170 smoking and 32 non-smoking rooms. Some of the rooms are also pets friendly. The hotel is situated in the quiet central part of the town surrounded by parks. The hotel is 800m away from the railway and bus station as well as from the bus stop link with the airport terminal, 300m away from the Hospital Clinics, 1200m from the Ljubljana Fair and it is just few minutes walk to all major historical monuments and sights.
