Zahorie region

The Zahorie region is especially suitable for excursions, walking tourism and cyclotourism by the river Morava, hunting, fishing and horse riding. The region has kept its typical dialect and folk traditions connected to Hutterite ceramics. The centre of the region is a town called Malacky. The oldest pilgrimage spot called Marianka is located in this region. A number of castle ruins located in the region are very popular tourist destinations.
