Bratislava

Bratislava is the capital city of Slovakia. Its strategic position, the river Danube that flows through it, the surrounding nature of the Small Carpathy mountain range and the town’s history make it an ideal place for a holiday for visitors of all ages. In Bratislava you will find everything. The town is filled with serenity and a relaxed atmosphere.

Although the first written mention of Bratislava comes from the year 907 A.D., the town is very modern and young and has a variety of attractions on offer. Everything in the historical centre – the gorgeous baroque palaces, interesting museums and galleries, is within walking distance. Therefore, when returning home or to your hotel you will be fresh and full of new come and visit St. Michal’s gate, which in the past used to be one of the four gates to the city. The top of the gate offers a magnificent view of the whole town. Bratislava is dominated by the newly reconstructed Bratislava castle which should definitely be on the photographs of any tourist. There is nothing more pleasant than taking a walk down from the castle through the narrow streets of the old town and visiting St. Martin’s Cathedral – the coronation place of Hungarian monarchs. On your way down from the castle you will run into many original cafes, restaurants with catchy design and tasty cuisines. Make sure to stop at the Main square, which is the meeting point of locals other events within the biggest summer festival – The Summer of culture festival Bratislava take place at the square. In the winter, the square turns into a place where friends meet at the Christmas market. On the last day of the year, Bratislava turns into Partyslava, as people who celebrate New Year’s Eve in the town like to call it. Simply, Bratislava is a town that will inspire you and will always have something up its sleeve to offer its visitors.
