The almost constant sunshine and the River Tagus make of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon a city with a very particular light. Its unique architecture full of color and its strong links to the past distinguish this city from the other European capitals.
Loose yourself in its narrow streets and up and down roads. Discover the heritage monuments, the characteristic neighborhoods with hundreds of years of tradition. Lisbon, according to the history is set on seven hills and from each one there is a belvedere with a café and a magnificent view.
In the historical neighborhoods of Alfama, Castelo or Mouraria stop and listen to the sounds that come from inside the houses. Listen to the Fado, the song of “Saudade” that was sung by the sailors wives when those were leaving...
In the west side of Lisbon Belém is a neighborhood related with the Portuguese Discoveries of the 15th and 16th centuries. Find where have we been at the Discovery Monument and don’t miss the Belém Tower and the Geronimo’s Monastery, recognized by UNESCO as a part of the World Cultural Heritage list.
In 1998 Lisbon received the World Exhibition and in the east side of Lisbon a new city was born with modern infrastructures such us modern buildings, the longest bridge and the biggest aquarium in Europe as well as a modern congress center and a multipurpose venue able of hosting large-size shows, congresses, and sports events.
