Itinerary:

Day 01: Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai International airport, our representative will transfer you to your hotel.

Overnight : Mumbai

Day 02: Mumbai

This morning, visit Elephanta Caves, followed by a tour of the city sites in the afternoon – visit Mani Bhawan, Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Gateway of India. Drive past, University building, Victoria station, the tomb of Haji Ali, the colourful Crawford market.

Later proceed to the railway station.

Arrive Aurangabad 0450 hrs

Overnight in Train.

Day 03: Aurangabad

Arrive early this morning, and after a quick shower and breakfast, proceed to visit Ellora caves.

On your return to the city, time permitting visit a handloom store and watch the ‘Hemru’ and ‘Paithani’ weavers – weave their magic designs.

Day 04: Aurangabad - Bhopal

Post breakfast, proceed with your baggage to visit the Ajanta caves.

A late warm lunch will be arranged at a Government guest house nearby, before proceeding to Bhusawal station to board train to Bhopal.

Overnight: Bhopal

Day 05: Bhopal - Agra

Arrive Bhopal at 0030 hrs and transfer to your hotel Later this morning, visit Sanchand the great Stupa.

Thereafter take the train to Agra from Bhopal.

Depart Bhopal 1440 hrs by Shatabdi Express.
Arrive Agra 2010 hrs

Overnight : Agra

Day 06: Agra

Post breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal, followed by the Red Fort, and the tomb of Itmad-ud-dullah.

Later this afternoon visit Fatehpur Sikri. Post dinner, transfer to the railway station to take the train to Varanasi.

Overnight : On train

Day 07: Arrive Mughalsarai (Varanasi)

Morning on arrival, transfer to hotel.

Post breakfast, visit Sarnath.

In the afternoon visit Varanasi - the Bharat Mata Temple, Vishwanath Temple Benaras Hindu University, the Durga Temple.

End the tour by visiting the Ghats in time for the evening Aarti – a ceremony attended by thousands of local residents.

Day 08: Varanasi - Bodhgaya

Early morning enjoy boat ride on the River Ganges .

Post breakfast, proceed to Bodhgaya (242 kms / 6 hrs)

Overnight at : Bhodhgaya

Day 09: Bodhgaya-Patna

This morning, tour Bodhgaya including the Mahabodhi temple & some monasteries.

This afternoon proceed to Patna en route visit Rajgir and Nalanda.

Day 10: Patna- Gorakhpur

Early morning proceed to Kushinagar en route visit to Vaishali.

This afternoon visit to the Mahaparinirvana temple , the reclining Buddha & Mukutbandhana stupa.

Thereafter, proceed to Gorakhpur.

Overnight at : Gorakhpur

Day 11: Gorakhpur-Lumbini

This morning proceed to Lumbini en route visit Kapilavastu.

This afternoon, visit Lumbini - The broken Ashoka Pillar, remnants of the old monastery, images of Buddha’s mother Maya Devi are some of the sites you will see.

Overnight at : Lumbini

Day 12: Lumbini-Balrampur

Proceed to Balrampur , to visit Shravasti, where you visit the centre of Buddhism, the pillars of the eastern gate of Jetavana.

Overnight at : Balrampur

Day 13: Balrampur-Lucknow

Post breakfast, proceed to Lucknow.

Later this afternoon visit the city - Rumi Darwaza, Bara Imambara, Husainabad Imambara, Asafuddaula Immambara, the Picture Gallery, Chattar Manzil, Moti Mahal, British Raj Residency and the National Botanical Gardens. You may like to visit the local ‘SEWA’ organization – a NGO teaching and encouraging women to learn Embroidery art.

In time transfer to Varanasi railway station to board train to Delhi.

Arrive Delhi 0700 hrs (the next day)

Overnight at : On Train

Day 14: Lucknow-Delhi

On arrival at New Delhi, after the chance to freshen up and breakfast, visit New Delhi - drive past, the India Gate, the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the secretariat buildings. Visit Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutub Minar.

Thereafter visit Bangla Sahib and the Langar – community kitchen.
This afternoon visit Old Delhi – visit the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat.

Dinner at Radisson or similar hotel where room will be provided for wash and change.

Late evening transfer to the international airport for your onward journey.
