1. City tour Tbilisi (Cultural tour)

The tour offers sightseeing of Tbilisi – capital of Georgia. It starts from Metekhi Plateau; after visiting Metekhi Church (XIII C), the excursion continues in Abanotubani (District of Bathes), where you can see famous sulphur baths of Tbilisi. Place which gave name to the new capital of the country in the 5th century AD.  After this, we will be visiting Tbilisi Mosque, Synagogue and Sioni Cathedral (VI – XVII CC), as well as the oldest church of Tbilisi – Anchiskhati (VI C). All of these holy places of varicose religions are situated just in the walking distance from each other and are symbols of the tolerant of the city once built on the historical Silk Road. Following this, we’ll get acquainted with the relatively new districts of Tbilisi, have a walk on Rustaveli Avenue, visit historic buildings and museums located on it. Most of these buildings were built in the 19th century in distinguish style. The tour will end with visit to Sameba (Trinity) Church – the biggest Orthodox church of the world, built in the just a few years ago.

2. Mtskheta (Cultural tour)

The tour offers sightseeing in Mtskheta – old capital of Georgia (Kartli).  The first visit will be to the oldest cross-domed church in Georgia – Mtskheta Jvari (VI AD) Jvari monastery is located on the top of small hill opening the fascinating view of old capital of Georgia – city of Mtskheta. At this place, in the prehistoric epoch, the vanity was located. After declaring Christianity the state religion in Kartli, the cross (in Georgian – “jvari”), the symbol of new religion has been erected there, and later, in V-VI AD, the Church has been built. It is the first cross-domed church in Georgia and is on the UNESCO List of the World Cultural Heritage

Following this, we will visit to one of the most important temples – Svetitskhoveli (IX AD).One of the most sacred places in Georgia. The first wooden church in Georgia has been built here immediately upon declaring Christianity the state religion (337). Current impressive temple has been built in 11th century and it is biggest out of the churches built before 21st century in Georgia.According to the legend, the temple is built at the place where the shroud has been buried. During the centuries the temple has been seriously damaged and repaired several times. Currently it is on the UNESCO List of the World Cultural Heritage.

3. David Gareji (Cultural, tracking (medium difficulty)

We’ll head to the southeast from Tbilisi. Approximately after an hour of driving, the route will lead us to the rare for Georgia landscape – semi desert – and the monastery carved in the rock. Grandiose monastery complex of 6th century carven in the rock located in the miraculous landscape 32 km away from Sagarejo. It was founded by one of the 13 Saint Assyrian Fathers Davit Garejeli. The complex located in the semi-arid area consists of 30 monasteries and in its heydays hosted about 10,000 monks. In one of the monasteries the oldest sample of the Georgian wall painting dating back to the 9th century is preserved.
Advice: the sports shoes are desirable; in a rainy weather do not forget to take raincoat.

Please take into consideration that the Monastery is functioning, therefore the persons dressed in shorts are not admitted.

4. Mtskheta-Gori (cultural tour)

This one-day tour offers you visits to old capital of Georgia – Mtskheta and one of the most important cities of the country – Gori. First we will drive to Mtskheta, where the first visit will be to the oldest cross-domed
church in Georgia – Mtskheta Jvari (VI AD) and, following this, to one of the most important temples – Svetitskhoveli (IX AD). From Mtskheta our route lies to the west – to Gori; here, after visiting House Museum of Stalin, we go to the antique city carved in the rock – Uplistsikhe, The ancient city carven in the rock located 13 km east to Gori. It was located on the historic Silk Road. At the edge of II and I millenniums BC, one of the tribes living on the Uplistsikhe territory used and arranged the natural caves existing there. In the VI-V centuries BC it was one of the most important cultural-political centres of Shida Kartli, and from II century BC it becomes the typical Hellenistic town. Uplistsikhe was the important trading centre till the 12th century AD. The remainders of the town built on the bank of Mtkvari River still retaining the signs of Hellenistic epoch, make the unforgettable impression on the visitors.

5. Sighnaghi (cultural tour + wine tour)

We’ll head to the southeast from Tbilisi and will head to Sighnaghi – the medieval city surrounded by the wall of 18th century and representing one of the most important tourist sites in the country. The medieval city, which is declared the city-museum currently, is located on the hill and looks over Alazani Valley. The city is still surrounded by the wall that was constructed in the end of the 18th century, during the reign of Erekle II. The 23 towers of the wall are named after nearly located villages. Each of them was bearing the fortification function. From Sighnaghi you can enjoy the fascinating views of Alazani Valley and Dagestan Mountains (North Caucasus). Beside its beauty, this cozy city is in the heart of the main wine region of Georgia – Kakheti. We cannot leave this place without testing famous Georgian Wine in the family vinery “Pheasant’s tears”, where we can test 6 sorts of Georgian wine.

6. Kazbegi (cultural tour, tracking)

We will drive by Georgian Military Highway from Tbilisi to north. On the route we will visit the 17th century fortress – Ananuri - Fortress on Georgian Military Way. It was built in the 17th century representing the residence of Aragvi Eristavis (rulers) then. The complex unites two churches and observation tower. The western façade is adorned with the remarkable carving. In the 80-ies of the 20th century the reservoir has been constructed near the fortress, and it adds the beauty to the surrounding landscape.Then we continue way to Stepantsminda. Passing Gudauri we will arrive to Stepantsminda, where we will walk up (walking up – 1 hour, walking back – 0.5 hours) to the only cross-domed church in this region – Gergeti Sameba (Trinity) located in the fascinating environment; in case the weather allows, we will also see one of the highest summits of the Great Caucasus – Kazbegi (5,047 meters). It is also possible to arrange walking tours to Truso (duration – 3 hours) or Gveleti (duration 1 – hour) gorges, after which we will return to Tbilisi.

7.Rafting on Mtiuleti Aragvi

Route: Pasanauri-Meneso; length of the route – 14.5 km; duration – 1-1.5 hours; category – 2.5. After rafting we arrange for you traditional Georgian lunch with local food – Khinkali. It is also possible to visit Ananuri fortress (XVII AD).

Advice: take into consideration, that during rafting you might get wet, so take with you the shift of clothes.

8. Rafting on Pshavi Aragvi

Route: Kopala Bridge-Tvalevi; length of the route – 14.5 km; duration – 1-1.5 hours; category – 2.5. After rafting we arrange for you traditional Georgian lunch with local food – Khinkali. It is also possible to visit Ananuri fortress (XVII AD).

Advice: take into consideration, that during rafting you might get wet, so take with you the shift of clothes.
