ARC DE TRIOMPHE

The Arc de Triomphe dominates Champs-Elysées. It is possible to reach the roof of the monument. The perspective of Louvre  Concorde Square - Grand Arch of Defense is superb. It's one of the most beautiful panoramas of Paris.

The arch is 50 meters high, 45 meters wide, and 22 meters thick and is decorated with low relieves evoking the battles of French First Republic and Imperial periods (1789-1815). Under the arch, the Unknown Soldier Tomb, a World War I Memorial.

DEFENSE DISTRICT

Showcase for fifty years of architectural experimentation, Intersection point for all the public transport networks on the near edge of Paris, life-size laboratory for technological innovation applied to the workplace environment, La Défense has become the prime business quarter in Europe and one of the most attractive in the world.

Every day, nearly 200.000 people come to work amidst the Défense’s skyscrapers, the gigantic commercial centre, the centre for exhibitions and shows (CNIT), the hemispherical cinema (Dome IMAX), the Defence Great Arch.

EIFFEL TOWER

Built for 1889 Universal Exposition and supposed to be razed immediately after, the Eiffel Tower has become one of the symbols of Paris and the most visited and photographed monument in the World.

With its 310 meters of height and its 7000 tons, it was the world's tallest building until 1930.

Since 1986, every night a 20000-bulbs lighting system emphasizes Eiffel Tower’s metal structure and consolidates the Capital of France in its fame of City of Lights

HOTEL DE VILLE

Paris City Hall, or “Hôtel de Ville” in French, is located on the right banks of the Seine River.

In Middle Ages and during French Revolution, executions were held just in front of the Hôtel de Ville, in Place de Grève.

LE LOUVRE

The Musée du Louvre Louvre is the most visited and one of the oldest and largest museums in the world, housing some of the most precious Western Civilization’s treasures. 35000 works of art displayed in over 60000 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to eight permanent collections: Near Eastern Antiquities; Islamic Art; Paintings; Egyptian Antiquities; Sculptures; Prints and Drawings; Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities; Decorative Arts.

The Tuileries and The Carrousel du Louvre

Former residence of the kings of France, Louvre gardens have become a large public park in the heart of the city: the Tuileries and the Carrousel form a pleasant, leafy setting for the Louvre palace. A delight at any season of the year, they provide the perfect place for a relaxing stroll and offer a range of activities for visitors of all ages.

LA MADELEINE

The neo-classic church of Sainte Marie Madeleine is located north of Concorde Square, at the end of Royal Street. Its style was inspired by Greek ancient temples. The original plans were modelled on Invalides Saint-Louis Church.

The church is surrounded by 52 columns rising for 20 meters of height. Its monumental staircase on the southern facade offers one of the most beautiful perspectives of Paris, along the Royal Street, through the Concorde Square, crossing the Seine, to the National Assembly. 

MONTMARTRE

With its 130 meters of height, Montmartre dominates the roofs of Paris: from the stairway to Sacre Coeur Dome it is possible to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Capital.

At the end of XIX century, Montmartre was the center of the artistic and Bohemian life in Paris. Berlioz, Picasso, Aristide Bruant with the Lapin Agile… many prominent artists made this Hill famous worldwide.

Montmartre preserved its intellectual and artistic life until World War I. Nevertheless, Montmartre continues to touch contemporary artists’ sensibility, thanks to its village-like roads, the stairway to the Dome and the picturesque Place de Tertre. Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s film “The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain" it is only one example.

NOTRE DAME

Notre-Dame Cathedral is situated on “Ile de la Cité”, an island in the Seine River that was the original core of Paris.

This superb gothic cathedral is almost nine hundred years old. Almost 200 years were necessary to build the "Cathedral of the Cathedrals", theatre of the famous novel of Victor Hugo "Notre Dame de Paris".

OPERA GARNIER

Named after his architect, the Opera Garnier Palace is the thirteenth theatre to house the Opera of Paris since it was founded by Louis XIV in 1669. It was inaugurated on 15 January 1875: an ornate building richly decorated with friezes, columns, and winged figures among other statues and embellishments. The interior is caracterised by velvet, gold leaf, and nymphs and cherubs. The auditorium's central chandelier weighs over six tons and the ceiling was painted in 1964 by Chagall. With a total area of 11 000 square meters (118,404 square feet), the theatre features a vast stage with room for up to 450 artists.

TOUR MONTPARNASSE

With its panoramic view from the 56th and 59th floors, the Tour Montparnasse is a classic 20th century monument: 209 meters high, it features the fastest lift in Europe, able to reach the top in 38 seconds. On the 56th floor, there are series of pictures covering the history of Paris, a video room and an open-air terrace offering a 40 km range view of Paris.
