ESTONIA-TALLINN: The Medieval Capital

Tallinn is the smallest capital among the three Baltic metropolises. And that’s certainly what makes it so attractive to us! In fact, all the beauty of the city is concentrated in the Old Town, where you will be pleased to get lost while walking in its narrow cobbled streets.
The medieval character is stronger here than it is for its neighbors and contributes to a unique romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Discover the Toompea Hill as well as the low part of the city and its walls which date back to the 13th century.
On the Town square in the middle of the old town, have a look at the beautiful façade of the Town Hall and visit the oldest pharmacy in Europe (1422), where you’ll learn about medieval treatments and medicine.
A part of Tallinn, Estonia has a lot of treasures to show you ! Among them, Pirita, the windy city, is located along the sea. Bicycles tours can be organized from the Old Town until Kadriorg Palace.
The Palace has been built in 1718 by Peter the Great in honour of Catherine I. The architect, Niccolo Michetti was also involved in the bulding of the famous Peterhog Palace in Saint Petersbourg !
