CITY TOURS - VIENNA
City Tour & Schönbrunn
This tour will give you an overall impression of the most significant historical sights of Vienna. Along the Ringstrasse we show you numerous grand buildings, such as the MAK, the State Opera House, the magnificent Museum of Fine Arts with its world famous art treasures of the Habsburgs and the Natural History Museum, the cultural district the MuseumsQuartier, the Hofburg (the former Habsburg winter residence), the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. The highlight of this tour will be a visit of the showrooms of Schönbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg family and home of Maria Theresia. On the way back to the opera we pass by the Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of Prince Eugen, which houses the largest and the most precious Gustav Klimt collection in the world.

Following Sissi´s Footsteps
Discover some of the delightful features of Vienna on a stroll through the city. We start our walk with a visit to the Imperial Crypt, the burial place of the Habsburgs, where Empress Elizabeth “Sisi“ is also buried. Before a visit to the Hofburg Palace, the former official residence of Sisi and Franz Joseph , you have the possibility to watch the training of the world famous Lipizzaner horses. Here the tradition of the High School of Riding is still cherished. Entrance fee for the Spanish Riding School has to be paid seperately (10,-/20,- commentated performance).

City Tour & Boatride
As an ideal supplement to our Historical City Tour we invite you to a leisurely boat trip on the Danube. We show you the Prater, the Danube Tower, the United Nations buildings, the famous buildings by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, such as the Kunsthaus, and his most well known building the Hundertwasserhaus. From the hills of the Vienna Woods you can enjoy a magnificent view over vineyards and the city. On the way back to the centre, we pass through the romantic wine growing village of Grinzing.

Viennese Wine Tavern Serenade
We start the evening by driving along the Ringstraße on our way to the Viennese amusement park, the Prater. A ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel will give you a marvellous view over the city. Then we drive through the wine tavern village of Grinzing to Neustift am Walde, where the artists of the 1st Viennese Heurigenshow will entertain you with a selection of famous waltz melodies, polkas and romantic arias & duets from popular operettas! A good evening meal including 1/4 liter of wine together with the unique atmosphere at the wine-tavern and you’ll certainly need nothing more to set you back into the 19th century.

The Third Man
Even after 50 years after his death in the sewers of Vienna, Orson Welles‘ Harry Lime still haunts the city. The scars of the WW2 have long disappeared but surprisingly, most of the locations of Carol Reed‘s 1949 film noir classic have remained unchanged. On this exciting tour follow us through the cobbled lanes and hidden courtyards of Old Vienna that inspired not only author Graham Greene, see the places where Harry Lime lived, appeared, disappeared and eventually died, and learn the fascinating story of how one of the all-time greatest films was made and what Vienna was like in the days of Allied occupation, Cold War espionage and the black market. And of course there is that famous zither music.

EXCURSION TOURS - VIENNA
Vienna Woods – Mayerling
A half-day excursion which shows you the most beautiful sights of the southern part of the Vienna Woods. Passing the Roman City of Baden which is famous for its thermal springs, we drive through the romantic valley Helenental to the former Mayerling hunting lodge, (visit of memorial chapel), where Crown Prince Rudolph together with Baronesse Vetsera died tragically in 1889. In the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz (1133) you visit the medieval cloister which houses the remains of the last Babenberger. We then pass the Höldrichsmühle and arrive at the Seegrotte. After a boat ride on the largest subterranean lake in Europe you leave the Vienna Woods and return to Vienna.

Danube Valley
A full-day excursion, which will show you the beauty of the Wachau. Through this romantic scenery full of history and legends the Danube winds its way past charming old villages and steep vineyards. The old castles tell us about the former importance of this trade- and trafficway, one of them - Dürnstein - especially famous, because here King Richard Lionheart was imprisoned, while waiting for his ransom to arrive from England, raised by his faithful Minstrel Blondel. During a romantic boat-trip the history comes alive. The heart of the Wachau is the old wine-merchants’ town Krems. To complete this day of highlights you will visit Melk, the “Cradle of Austria“, the magnificent Benedictine Abbey, a pearl of the Austrian Baroque. Possibility for lunch at the Abbey Restaurant at Melk.

Burgenland
In Eisenstadt, we visit the Esterhazy palace, once the residence of the Hungarian Princes, and many years the home of the composer Joseph Haydn. The castle´s magnificent ambience invites you to a fascinating journey into the world of the Esterhazy Princes. The castle staff slip into the role of the Grand Controller and receives visitors in courtly tradition. (Original filming location of an Austrian TV series „The King of Winegrowers“). After a short walk through the old town, we drive through the countryside of Lake Neusiedl, an area on the UNESCO list of world heritage sights. In Rust, the city of storks, you have the possibility for lunch accompanied by Gipsy Music. Enjoy an impressing boat cruise on Lake Neusiedl, which is Europe´s largest steppe lake and a unique paradise for birds on the Austrian-Hungarian border.
