City Tour – On the Traces of Mozart!
Salzburg City Sightseeing Tour including the reopened Mozart Residence. Over the centuries the Prince Archbishops represented the worldly and clerical power in their own independant principality. Many impressive monuments still stand witness to their reign. Renowned architects and artists worked throughout the centuries to create architectural jewels. since the 18th century until today you can hear the sound of Mozart's Magic Flute and other famous compositions between those historic walls. Let Panorama Tours give you an insight into the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque aspects of the city as Mozart saw it. After the bus tour, you will visit the newly reopened Mozart Residence, on Makart Square. You will have the opportunity to see an informative multi-media show.

Salzburg Panorama City Tour
The tour leads you from Schloß Mirabell through the new part of the City: Mozarteum, Mozart's Residence - over the Staatsbrücke into the Baroque Old Town with the Dome and the festival quarter. Passing the Nonnberg Abbey we see Castle Leopoldskron and return to Mirabell Square.

Sound of Music Tour
A wonderful ride with breathtaking views of the landscape where the opening scenes were filmed. Relax and listen to the original Sound of Music soundtrack. Our English-speaking guide not only shows you the highlights of the film 'Sound of Music' but also the historical and architectural landmarks in the city, as well as a part of the picturesque lake district.

Lakes & Mountains Tour
The Lake district with its natural beauty and exceptional landscape already hosted the Austrian Emperor Franz Josef and his family for their summer vacation. Splendid hunts were held there by Salzburgs Prince Archbishops. On this tour you can experience the breathtaking beauty of one of Austria's most beautiful regions - the lake district just beyond the gates of Salzburg. With a view down to Salzburg we begin our excursion to the scenic and historical landmarks of the surroundings. We will point out the impressive hunting castle Fuschl, today a luxury hotel, where the Prince Archbishops spent many seasons. In St. Wolfgang there is time to visit the famous winged Gothic altar by Michael Pacher and a stop at the 'White Horse Inn' for refreshments. From St. Wolfgang we will go by boat (May 1st - Oct 26th) to St. Gilgen on the other side of Lake St. Wolfgang. After 25 minutes we will land in St. Gilgen, where Mozart's mother was born. Passing Castle Hüttenstein we continue along the Mondsee. The ever changing and contrasting scenery will make this tour an unforgettable memory.

Excursion through the Bavarian Alps
In the Bavarian Alps above the Obersalzberg stands the former mountain residence of Hitler. It offers magnificent views across the snowcapped peaks of the surrounding mountains. Passing the Castle Hellbrunn, through Anif we arrive at the German border. Driving along the Königseeache, through the lovely valley and picturesque farmland to Unterau we start our ascent to the Obersalzberg. Here we stop to see what is left of Hitler's mountain compound and to enjoy the wonderful panorama (view of Hitler's Eagle's Nest). We then continue down the Königsee or Echo Lake, pressed among the steep mountain peaks. There is time for a stroll along the lake. On the way back we stop in Berchtesgaden. Again there is plenty of time for a look around the village and for refreshments.

Eagle´s Nest Tour
A special kind of adventure awaits you on our excursion to Bavaria - Berchtesgaden. Past the hunting castle Hellbrunn we cross the Austrian-Bavarian border. Along the Königsee River Valley, through the Bavarian mountains, along romantic farmhouses and Obersalzberg, we arrive at the highlight of our journey. A bus and elevator will bring us to the Eagle's Nest. The buses to the Eagle's Nest are equipped with special engines and brakes to transport you from the Obersalzberg to the Eagle's Nest. The adventurous bus ride along the steep rock walls and deep gorges takes about 20 minutes. During the journey you will have a splendid view up to the 'Hoher Goell' and across the snowcapped peaks of the Bavarian mountains. With the elevator (length 365 ft) you enter the Eagle's Nest (5.000 ft). On the way down contented faces are living proof that it was a successful excursion and many of the guests will return again and again to the Eagle's Nest.
Afterwards you have the chance to regain your strength with some Bavarian specialities.
