With 202 rooms the four-star ‘Das Weitzer’ is the largest hotel of this category in Graz. Situated right next to ‘Grand Hotel Wiesler’ on the River Mur it also enjoys a top location in the Old Town of Graz and has been a preferred destination of discerning business travellers since 1910.
‘Das Weitzer’ is part of WORLDHOTELS’ portfolio of 500 unique hotels across the world.
The Weitzer seminar centre which opened in 2001 comprises a total of 14 modern seminar and function rooms between 20 and 143 m2 for up to 300 people. Since 1910 the hotel has undergone a number of alterations and extensions resulting in ist present capacity of 200 beds. Thus Dr. Hans Helmut Weitzer bought the neighbouring hotel ‘Goldener Ochs’ in 1967 and merged it two years later with the Weitzer to form a single hotel. This was followed in the mid-1980s by a further extension of the hotel complex up to ist current capacity.
The 202 rooms, including 18 junior suites and suites, are appointed with soundproofed windows, ISDN connections, a minibar, satellite TV and pay TV. They fully meet the requirements of business-oriented customers. Guests can also relax in the sauna zone featuring a steam bath, while a unique sundeck on the roof offers expansive views over the roofscape of the Old Town of Graz.
